Infant Blessings

Is there a new life in your family? Would you like to bring your child for a blessing, say "Thank you" to God, and dedicate yourself to the challenging role of being a parent?  The Bible says that Jesus:

...took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them. Mark 10:16

So we happily welcome children and infants. And we'll gladly create a special, significant moment, for you during one of our morning services.

When and How?

Usually this would happen during one of our all-age Family Services. These are relaxed, enjoyable occasions where the whole church family - adults, children and infants - stays together for the whole service.

The building is licenced for weddings, and we count it a privilege to be involved in your special day. If you are interested in getting married here you will need to contact the Minister. He will arrange to meet you and discuss your wedding plans and preparations.

We want you have a great wedding service. So our hope is that, together, we can create a relevant and special service that celebrates your commitment to each other in a way that honours Jesus.

Practical Questions

Flowers, music, photographs, children, rehersals, costs, service sheets... questions about these and other practical issues are all dealt with in our downloadable booklet "Your Wedding".

Useful to know...

We don't require you to attend this church in order to get married here. But you want your wedding here for a reason, so we do encourage you to come along for a few weeks and see what it's like might be surprised!

We are a Christian Church, so our weddings (and other worship services) are conducted according to the Bible's teaching.

Any bereavement is hard to bear, whether it was expected or not, and it brings to the surface many things that for the rest of life remain hidden. We do pray that you will know God's comfort, help and hope at this time.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his compassion never fails; every morning they are renewed. Lamentations 3:22-23

If you would like to hold a funeral here, or if you would like our Minister to officiate at a crematorium or graveside service, please ask your Funeral Director to make the necessary arrangements with us. The Minister will arrange to visit you and discuss the details of the service.

The person who has died may have left details of the sort of funeral that they hoped for. We will support families in keeping to such arrangements as much as possible, and in making the service a personal and appropriate occasion.

God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
